A sister I never knew

A sister I never really got a chance to know
A baby, whose life was stolen away
An infant denied the chance to live
Barely a month old
Yet you're already gone
The pain of losing you
It's something even time can't erase
The wounds they just won't heal
I try to tell myself that you're gone
Yet after all these years
I still find it hard to believe
That the world could be so cruel
As to steal your life away
