Life is like an hourglass glued to the table

by Emily   Aug 2, 2005

Life is like an hourglass glued to the table
you cannot turn it over and start again

for you see one side is glued down, stuck forever
to the table of lifes mysteries and wonders
to the table of love and broken heart
to the table of questions and answers
and to the table of life and death itself

Each piece of sand only falls once
And once it falls
It lightly lands on a mound of the worlds past

Cherish each moment of everyday
and hold each piece of sand as if it were a precious gem

For once you have made your memory on your gem it shall too dissapear,
fall down
and become a memory on the mound of the worlds past
