I'm not perfect

by mandi   Aug 3, 2005

Perfect teeth, perfect skin,
Perfect hair, perfect within,
Perfect smile, perfect eyes,
Perfect life, she never cries,
Or does her.....

She hates her body, she hates her skin,
She hates how she hides everything within,
She hates her smile, she hates her eyes,
She hates her life; she hates how she cries....

Her boyfriend tells her she's beautiful, and she just smiles,
He looks deep into her eyes, and just gazes for a while,
He strokes her cheek with the back of his hand,
Tells her he loves her, but she doesn't understand....

How can some one love me? She ponders, as she stairs into the looking glass,
Maybe he's just bored, and looking for a piece of @ss,
Or maybe he could mean it, but that I highly doubt,
I hate how people play with my head, what’s that all about.....

Her perfect razorblade, with not one bloodstain,
Her perfect cut, but how is she going to explain,
This perfect deep gash that is embedded in her arm,
How is she going to prove, this perfect life with out harm...

So she don't have to tell them that she slits her wrists,
She takes the razor once again, taking a huge risk,
Making a slit, so big and deep,
She was preparing herself for an eternal sleep,
Taking the blood writing on the wall, with no regret,
She wrote "I'M NOT PERFECT"...

And there in the floor of her perfect home,
She died imperfect, and all alone.
