Wrong turn

by Jacob M Parnell   Aug 7, 2005

Everyone always thinks.
It will never happen to them.
but one wrong turn.
And it all comes to an end.
----------------------------------------
Remember how your parents told you.
Life is full of surprises.
The saying is so true.
But they all come in disguises.
----------------------------------------
But when the fork in the road comes.
Right or left?
Broadway or the slums?
Or lead a life of theft.
----------------------------------------
Noone ever told you.
That the surprises in life.
Will easily subdue.
Even bring you to a knife.
----------------------------------------
So when you come to your turn.
Be careful.
And take the time to learn.
That life is only disgraceful.
