Another Perfect Day

Sitting patiently waiting for you to say it was OK for me to go round,
Walking quickly to your house,
Desperate to get there and see your face again.
I only saw you three days before,
But to me it seemed too long.
Butterflies in my stomach growing,
My heart beginning to pound,
My knees going weak as I approach your door.
Smoothing my hair as I ring the bell,
Only a few seconds to go.
You open the door and welcome me in with your smile,
Don't you know that smile makes me act like a little child?
As I walk up the stairs with you behind,
I enter your room the place where I love to be,
You close your door and give me a hug,
Telling me you've missed me and 3 days is far too long.
Watching movies, telling jokes,
Laughing together about silly things,
Don't you know those moments make me fall in love again?
Walking to the shop with you,
As you reach out for my hand.
Our fingers intertwined,
The spaces between my fingers now filled with yours.
Time flying by way too fast,
All too soon it has to end.
As we say goodbye I go to the car with a smile,
For once again I've had another perfect day.

Hey this was one of the best free verse poems I've ever read. I write poetry and I am starting to get back into the habit. I've written about 6 poems on this site, and I would like it if you were to tell what you thought of them and rate them. Thank you very much.
