My face is my mask

by jaki   Aug 8, 2005

My face is my mask
From the world that I hide
My name is the calling
To the rules that I abide

My heart is the key
To all of my living days
My knife is the pain
That makes its pay

My scars are the truth
Of the nights I survived
My blood running hot
Keeps my heart hanging loose

My smile is what I fake
From the days that seem so down
My friends are what I keep close
And my happiness is what they make
