I Lied

You Said you loved me,
You promised it was true,
You stood me up once, then twice.
I should have seen right through.

I gave you my heart, My soul.
You promised you wouldn't hurt me.
But I should have known you would lie.
Guess the joke was on me.

I pretended not to care.
And everyone seemed to believe.
You and i would end up in the same room.
And i would want to leave.

You made me promise not to run,
Not to turn to suicide.
But i just want you to know,
This time, I lied.
