Summer Fling

Memories of that summer,
all those days I can't forget:
laying in your arms,
even the day we met.

All those days together,
just an amazing summer fling,
How long it could've lasted,
If you knew it meant everything.

So much to hold onto,
so much I let go,
Everything it meant to me,
the things you'll never know.

All the things i could've told you,
all the things we could've shared,
3 months wasn't long enough,
to let you know I cared.

Exactly one year later,
its all still fresh in my mind.
Walking where we went to,
leaving memories to find.

Sitting on those tables,
remembering us there.
Laying in your arms,
and playing with your hair.

How you could make me laugh,
even when i wanted to cry,
laying in the grass,
letting time pass us by,

Staying up all night,
just to talk to you,
calling you at midnight
when you asked me to.

Running through the rain,
when the clouds let it all free,
running home alone,
thinking bout you and me.

So much time has passed,
memories still trying to stay,
wondering what could've happened,
if i would've went the other way

All those days still linger,
like pictures I've kept to find
