How could you live positive with all these negative things around you
when drugs are being sold and everyone curses around you
How do you live regular when your around alot of noise
When all your family consist of is wild, crazy, and destructive boys
How do you sleep through the night hearing gun shots
opening the door to your cousin in a white shirt filled with red dots
How do you make it in school when the teachers are not teaching
because more than half of the students, their not reaching
How do you get a decent job when your young and black
you don't get paid much and everybody wants you to give back
It is so many negative things going on
it hides your talents and does not let them dawn
I have to get away and get my mind right
because I'm done with putting up this fight
