New way of looking at the world...

**I wrote this in about 15 min and it isn't the best but I decided 2 put it on here to see what you all think...plz comment, it would mean a lot. THANKS!

I took one last look at you before I left
that face that I once loved to see
but not anymore,
not after what you've done to me.

You've put me through hell and back
and for that I will never forgive you.
I loved you with everything I had
and all you did was destroy me.
You made me think that that was what love was about
and I believed you.
You were my first love,
or so I thought.

Deep down inside I knew it was to good to be true.
How could my life suck so bad
and then just turn around so fast into something great.
It was just to good to be true...
you were to good to be true...

I now realize that I am much better than I was.
I can now control my tears,
and I now know that you weren't real
no matter how much I want to believe you were.
I thought you were the one,
I was so wrong.

You showed me a new way to look at the world
and the people around me.
Not everyone is like you
and I thank god for that.
The man of my dreams is out there somewhere,
I know he is.

So I guess I should be thanking you,
for showing me that you didn't really care
and opening my eyes to a whole new way
of looking at the world....
