FATE WILLING

by TAChakravarthy   Aug 12, 2005

Beyond every thought
Beyond every aspiration
Beyond every delight
Beyond every inspiration
Beyond every illusion
I recollect you, no doubt
But the pain of separation
Keep inflicting the torment
But for how long ?

Season after season
Slowly fade into the past
Hopes, sensing own erosion
Forlornly brave fate’s test.
Though isolation finds no reason
It struggles to wipe the tempest.

My illusion of building a tomorrow
Without a break, is put at stake
The day-to-day mounting sorrow
Destined, how long should I rake;
Dreaming of today and tomorrow
How many a today was I faked.

For the loneliness and misfortune
In which I held you all these years;
If fate wills and change its tune
I lovingly shelter you in deep layers
Inside heart, to become forever mine.
