THE SEARCH UNENDING

by TAChakravarthy   Jun 27, 2006

In a quest to acquire something
We are losing something precious
To fetch something, short-lived;
Everyday, yes, we are losing
Losing something or the other.

We are staking mental peace,
Losing the invaluable trust,
Vying to generate new avenues
Opting to keep the past in dark.
We are dumping the precious time
Unaware of its implications;
Riding on the waves of fantasy
We are intoxicating our future.

Losing where we ought to win
Winning where we ought to lose,
In between the two wicked shores;
Taking out the steam out of life
We are ruining the precious time.

Age engulfs and sorrows surround
A loner at last, lean and feeble
In a storm of grief and repentance
We try to douse the flames of past
With no one near and dear to care
We search around with misty eyes.
