Just worthless rhymes

If my worthless rhymes
my worthless poem
could fix my family
my broken home

I'd read it everyday
every year, for the rest of my life
to rid the mourning and sorrow
to end the strife

I'd keep the poem in my pocket
to read when something goes bad
I'd keep it close by me
to read when I'm sad

but nothing will make it better
nothing will mend the strife
no words could fix my broken home
especially my worthless rhymes
