Saying Goodbye hurts

Sometimes when all hope is lost,
I turn for you and hold you tight.
Sometimes when my heart is broken,
I hug you and wait for you to tell me it's alright.

You were my bestfriend,
i loved you with all my heart.
I could really talk to you,
I never thought there would be a day we would part.

Boy was I wrong,
it now seems there's more I need to learn.
We might be moving and if we do,
You and I will have to write in turn.

I will miss you more and more,
I will shed a tear for you the day we depart.
As I get on that plane,
and head for a new start.
I'll be looking back on all the photos and good times we had,
I'll keep one by my side.
With your photo with me all the time,
I will no longer need to hide.

It's only going to be 3 years,
I'll be back soon enough.
But within those years there's one thing I need to say,
Without you my life would have been so tough.
You picked me up and cleaned my saws,
You taught me so much.
You helped me cry, laugh and,
You soothed me with every friendly touch.

You lit up my world just with a smile.
I won't be gone for long,
I'll be back in a while.

Until I return,
keep in touch.
Keep an eye on the guys for me,
and keep in mind I miss you so much.
