Mistaken Identity (I Am)

Having such a mistaken identity,
Always thought I was only in misery,
But I had walls of immortality,
Which no one would break down.

Feeling insecure of the world around,
Always feeling low to the ground,
Locked in links I was bound,
But I always had faith.

My defining story never told,
I’m gonna keep it untold,
Cos I don’t want to let my life unfold,
In front of my known enemies.

No one was really listening,
My eyes they were glistening,
My hands they were blistering,
But the aid never came.

But now life has taken a turn,
My diary, I would burn,
Cos in my life I would learn,
That everyone is the same.

People get hurt,
People get stabbed,
People get upset,
And people always have.

Now I feel I can help others in need,
Going through the same, information I feed,
But I will stop them before they bleed,
Cos that’s who I am.

I may be somewhere in the middle,
Always having such a fiddle,
But my life is a riddle,
So that’s why I am.

Here I am today,
Feeling fine, not fading away,
Cos all I want is my friends to say,
Your special, and everyone loves you.
