Supposed To Be Tough

I'm a tomboy,
I'm supposed to be tough right?
Well, I used to think I was,
Until you came around.

You made me feel those butterflies,
And you made me feel so girly.
I was always so nervous around you,
Which for me was something totally new.

Suddenly things I never cared about before,
Seemed to be so important.
I used to be all about sports,
But it changed to my appearance.

We started dating and over time,
I fell in love with you.
You returned those feelings,
And I thought we'd be together always.

But a few days ago,
You told me that you had found another.
I was crushed,
My world instantly broken in two.

Now I sit here in my room,
Crying all day and night long.
To me it seems amazing,
How love can prove you so wrong.

I'm a tomboy,
I'm supposed to be tough.
But I guess now that I love you,
I know that I'm not as tough as I once thought.
