It isn't just fairytales and rhymes
It isn't just one girl, one guy
It isn't what everybody wants
It isn't in the beholder's eye

It isn't a once-in-a-lifetime thing
It isn't a series of errors and trials
It isn't a little give-and-take
It isn't all happy-endings and smiles

It isn't true and it isn't pure
It isn't black and white
It isn't something that just appears
In the middle of the night

It isn't just a quick "I do"
It isn't a simple "yes" or "no"
It isn't what life's all about
That just isn't how it goes

It isn't doing what you want
It isn't learning how much you can take
But I'll tell you what love is
Love is one gigantic mistake
