Loves Toll

She lies there thinking,
Of all the nights,
They had together,
When everything was all right.

All the memories,
Sent shivers up to her neck,
She shut her eyes,
And knew her life would be a wreck.

She knew the day,
That she ever saw him,
And looked into his eyes,
And saw that grin.

When their eyes locked,
And they both understood,
They needed each other,
To be understood.

Her heart was full of love,
And covered with joy,
Twinkles came into her eyes,
All for this one boy.

It was her first,
And only love true,
He accepted her,
While their love pursued.

For a while,
She thought she had it all,
A boy that loved her,
And who'd never let her fall.

It was going well,
Until one unlucky day,
That he told her,
He was going his own way.

Her legs wanted to crumble,
And fall to the floor,
Her breath seemed to stop,
As she cried more and more.

That’s where she is now,
Thinking of how it isn’t right,
She doesn’t know what to do,
She starts trembling in fright.

The world is spinning,
As the days go by,
Soon she sees a new girl,
With her still loved guy.

She thought she could handle it,
Even though her heart throbbed,
Each and every day with pain,
Her love got robbed.

She finally decided,
Enough of this,
When she saw a twinkle in his eye,
When “her” and him kissed.

The pain was to great,
A plan she did make,
So she wouldn’t go on,
As her body begun to shake.

To make it fast,
She had a gun,
While she pulled the trigger,
She thought of her hun.

In the pool of blood,
A note was found,
Expressing her feelings,
And how she’d always be around.

A page for each person,
Her mom, dad, and brother,
And one that stood out,
From all the others.

It was addressed to the boy,
And was taped to her heart,
The reason why she did this,
All from the start.

It said,
My love for you,
Was burning like fire,
And I know you know,
That you I desired.
I could tell you still loved me,
And you know you still do,
You just couldn’t have our love be,
It was tearing you inside,
To watch me in pain,
But you couldn’t have me cuz of your pride,
So I did you a favor,
And me one to,
Now you can relax,
And do what you want to do,
And not watch me in pain,
I don’t feel the hurt,
And know this is always true,
I did this out of love,
Just for you.
