Granma's hug

by Hassan   Aug 19, 2005

I come into this world,
with a prayer in my heart,
a prayer that when i open my eyes,
i am in my granny's arm's,
her beautiful eyes,
where i find my paradise,
her reassuring smile,
and her lovely gray hair,
to hold her hands,
and walk every mile,
this is what i wish for,
what could i want more,
once as a child,
i was playing in the cellar,
crawling upto me came a bug,
and i like a baby started to holler,
down she came and gave me a hug,
these little things i miss the most,
how when i woke up,
she made me toast,
juice without pulp,
she knew i loved most,
the way she used to tuck me,
and sing me to sleep,
but now i stay awake at night,
and ask GOD,
why couldnt i have her to keep,
so the most precious moment to me,
was a tight hug from my granny!
