War

by pookabear   Aug 19, 2005

We stand so tall so proud,
But that sound so loud,
But yet we still stand,
Over this fair land,
And still as tall as ever before,
The bodies lieing more and more,

My heart starts to race,
Trying to keep up the pace,
Stand by my mate,
Filled with hate,
Guns rasied to the sky,
Hearing the outcry,
Of a shot man,
This is not the way it began.

I look over, there he lie,
Just about to die,
I can’t help,
I hear his last yelp,
For my friend,
That was the end,
I go all numb my eyes filled with tears,
Thinking about all those years.

Now he’s gone I have to stand tall,
For me, for my family for all,
I hold hand in hand I’m back home,
I look at the other families how they rome,
What do they lack,
It’s just that special someone didn’t come back.
