Prison to Prison

by Ashlee Nicole   Aug 20, 2005

From Bricks to Plaster
Pink to Green.
This is my prison,
Not quite what it seems.

Not only physical,
But emotional too.
You keep me inside,
This tiny little room.

My only place to escape,
Where I almost feel free.
9x9, Walls all around.
Looks like a prison to me.

I just want to run,
Yet know I can't.
Because deep inside,
I know I'll come back.

I can't make it on my own,
Not quite yet,
I feel so dependent.
I think you like it.

The one thing that hurts most,
Although you can't see.
I need my best friend.
So I can be me.

I hate these walls.
I imagine you hate yours too.
Were stuck in this situation,
What else are we to do.

I'll give this a month.
Allready two weeks without my friend.
I can't stay sane much longer.
I'll put it to an end.

I'll break down these walls,
Or just freeze within.
Either way,
I'm going to win.

**Not my best but I just kinda went with the flow please do comment positive or negative..Also vote please** thanks ash--

Thought it was VERY good but you put "quiet" in some parts where it should have been "quite" just so you know, but anyways great job, 5/5
