Gusto damnatio

Her glory was lost
to a strange offering
a blade cloaked in silver and hope
now shes leaving us everything

now i know every birth is a death
and the dead are replaced by the born
and with life happening so fast
where is the time to mourn

each tear you break is a diamond
but lately its ran like a stream
meandering down your face
showing how much you loved her before i would have never believed

i awake to another lonely wake
stillness around all are dressed in black
i wonder if any really feel remorse
i wonder if any really cared
