A Love Story (Revised)

by Tom   Aug 20, 2005

When the person you love doesn’t feel the same,
You try and move on, as if it was a game.
You’ve tried your best, but there’s nothing you can say,
The feelings inside, they won’t just go away.
The times with her, you hated to leave the door,
But when you are without her, it hurts even more.
You trust in Him, that thy will be done,
Maybe this love story has just begun.
Maybe one day you’ll be together again,
After all, that’s how most love stories end.
But what if she said, don’t have hope.
Does that mean it’s the end of the rope?
You can’t move on, because it just feels wrong.
And you try and hold on, but for just how long?
Giving up is not what you usually do.
But in this case it looks like it’s through.
You swallow your pride and look to a new day
Its true that “love hurts” as they say.
But just knowing her, I truly feel blessed.
And all I can do now, is wish her the best.
