Glass House

by k i k i   Aug 21, 2005

Surrounded by walls of glass,
She holds no fear.
There are no doors, no windows,
Just the view of the world before her.
Right at her feet.
She can’t throw stones, or run away.
Wanting to give in,
The fight has been fought for so long.
It’s like a prison, all alone, guilty,
Nothing to look forward to.
But, it doesn’t seem any different to home,
Family and friends, no longer with her.
Thrown into the street, lonely, hungry,
She thought it was the end,
End of her.
