That So-Called Love

by Renee   Aug 21, 2005

Whisper sweet poison in my ear
grip my arm like you need me so bad
tell me those lies I'd die to hear,
I want to be this years new fad.

My lungs are choking on this air,
I need to inhale your cheap perfume.
The foul smell of my despair,
desperation for someone so soon.

Hold my hand like you'll never let go,
squeeze it tight and say you love me so
but I know eventually, you will leave.
Your love is so fake, but it's just what I need.

I'd say bitter sweet. What a dog he is/would be....Sad that that's the story of many! At first I was going to say you should have kept going but I think you ended it very well...nicely done Coonay! BUCKO! What's with them alligators.

I loved the first verse. The whole poem is like the pessimists version of love. But guess what hunnie, it's not always like this. Love can be true, and you will find true love baby, just keep hanging on and don't give up. :-). Great write, makes you think and is definitely very powerful.
