God's Angel (Double Reversed Etheree)

Immersed with a never ending pure gift,
Embracing her father’s tender love,
Imperfect unlike most her kind,
God’s most favorite angel,
Closest to his own heart,
Created special,
To show to all,
Perfection,
Is not,
Love,

Nor,
Is it,
Appearance.
To show the world,
This appalling girl,
With tattered wings of brown,
With riven tarnished old clothes,
Straggly, gloomy, filthy black hair,
With a sharing, loving heart throughout,
God’s most favorite angel of true love.

~Etheree--> consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. Etheree can also be reversed and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Get creative and write an Etheree with more than one verse, but follow suit with an inverted syllable count.

Reversed Etheree: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Double Etheree: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

...Triple Etheree, Quadruple Etheree, and so on!

    *sighs* looks like I've got a lot to learn about poetry...I see so many ppl./kids here (all younger than me) writing in different styles and its impressive.

    Wow, brilliant poem there, I loved the style of writing, I found it really interesting to read, the poem is really good I enjoyed your descriptions near the end

    And the way you ended the poem I thought was perfect, well done to you, good work, thank goodness for those little red numbers
