African burden.

by Aimee   Aug 22, 2005

At the age of ten she has no parents
Shes taken in by her aunt
She sits at school everyday
She wants to tell someone but cant

The abuse she receives
The bruises are stained
The speech impediment
She has now gained

Told thats shes a witch
She holds her breath
Beaten with a belt
Not knowing about death

She Cry's every night
And prays to the Sky's
Her vision so blurry
From the chilli's rubbed in her eyes

But no longer is she hurting
From the physical and mental pain
This little African burden
So pretty,so innocent,so plain
