California

by the middle   Aug 23, 2005

Summer days, and summer nights,
music loud, road lit by headlights.
windows down, summer wind in my hair,
cruising the the back streets, not heading anywhere.
ten miles over the speed limit, just for thrills,
silhouettes of the Californian mountains and hills.
our favorite songs play as we sing as loud as we can,
lying at the pool getting a tan.
hanging out with friends every night and day,
stretching our curfew to have our way.
this summer's a blur of sun and new friends,
driving on hot summer nights wish it didn't have to end.
I miss back home, i miss everyone,
but here i am, having so much fun.
California days, California nights,
driving the road lit by headlights.
