Masquerade (Short)

by Lenny   Aug 24, 2005

Dried tears paste her cheeks.
She breathes deeply and slowly then
forces herself up.
Cold water breaks against her
face- awakening her from her
coma of sorrow.
She paints a smile on her face
- a mask to keep the world
from her secrets, then heads
out the door to face the world.
The world of masks.

This reminds me a lil of some of the stuff i have written, in a totally different light/style.. its a great take on superficiality and i love it,.. i like how u placed the line breaks.. they all seem to be in the perfect place.. good piece..

An interesting idea and a different ending but also very true, one of those things you don't want to talk about. It was a bit distracting in some lines because the lines were cut but it was quite good. Keep it up.
