Fallen Disgrace

by Momentary Relapse   Aug 25, 2005

A ceaseless flow sliding along
Staining a face tortured with pain
The lips are quivering in fear
Eyes wide the spirit slain

Withering features reveal death
A skeletal look of one who cries
Prominent veins beneath the flesh
A picture of one fallen to demise

An angel from the heavens dead
Fallen down into sudden disgrace
The wings ripped and torn
The halo never to replace

A neverending flow unable to heal
Face slack despite the pain inside
Mouth contorted in a scream
Behind the eyes death will hide

Broken figure from a once proud life
Once stood strong against the hate
Now brittle and weakened than destroyed
Left alone for one to contemplate

Shredded wings crown the back
Once pure now dark with sin
A broken halo lost in haste
Eroded the purity that had been within
