Please Tell Me

Sometimes I just don't understand
why i cry when i do
often times i cry for me
but mostly i cry for you

I'm so afraid of what will happen
its one of my biggest fears
losing you, just the thought of it
brings me straight to tears

Every time we say goodbye
it stabs me in the heart
because all that goodbye really means
is that we will be apart

I don't know what it is about you
that makes me melt away
maybe its your beautiful smile
or the amazing personality you show each day

I wish i could just tell you
about the love that i do feel
its the greatest thing that ever was
a feeling so unreal

but as my fear of rejection grows
i become more afraid to tell you
about the love i feel
and to ask if you feel it too

You told me once to never be afraid
so thats what im going to do
i'll tell you what im feeling
and ask how you feel too

so as you read this poem
please know that it is true
i love you more than anything
now please tell me you do too
