Goodbye My Friend

Good bye my friend it’s been a long trip. I hope their memories you may capture and grip.

Goodbye my buddy the road has been long, but now our lives are splitting we are learning to move on.

For once we were so happy, For once we were so free. But now our lives lay separate as we both can see.

For once we were so careless running in the sun, telling each other secrets, we were truly one.

So if one day the sun does set and we’re together again, I’ll rejoice in happiness for the one I’ve called my friend.

We’ve been through times and how happy most were, yet memories will be memories and some are just a blur.

So beyond the lands and spaces that lie in between, remember how we used to be for many things remain unseen.

And maybe, someday in the end, we will finally forget, and neither will remember how we felt regret.

But it was there even if we cannot remember what, there will always be a scar where there used be a cut.

So let’s make this last day count more than any before, let’s make this friendship worth the fullest even if we can only add a little more.

And then I know we both will say goodbye, goodbye my friend, and you will turn and leave me and it will be the end.
