Rest Your Head

by N J Thornton   Aug 28, 2005

Rest your head upon the bough
Flaunting the array so mild
Rock in a peaceful slumber
To bless every miffed child

Peer through the glass at centre
But a bawdy break it bares
No contrast begs a fondness
To cripple the rising stares

Restlessly lie in twilight
Why hold it at hand, this sin?
Keep the descent under wraps
And trust the chaste victim

Eager wits now mustn’t fret
A sentence has been endured
So, rest your head in peace now
There unjust is reassured

This was great. i loved the way it flowed, and Im just in love with the way you write. its so personal and you already have a beautiful style set in stone. I just love it, and the wa you use rhyme in such a different way, not using the normal boring rhyme that is sued by all. Very very well done.

Great use of words, perfect descriptions..... However the only thing i would suffest is that you use capitals with each line which makes it a bit harder to read.....

    Good poem... Perfect ending!
