As Dark As Night

by crystal   Aug 28, 2005

She goes through her day
all shinny and bright
but inside it's raining
it's as dark as night

she hides her fears
with all her might
nobody knows
it's as dark as night

she walks through the halls
emitting her light
but it's not from inside
because it's as dark as night

she has friends all around
pretending to be tight
but the don't have a clue
it's as dark as night

her parents ask if she's OK
she tells them every things alright
how are they to know
it's as dark as night

she finally calls out for help
she tells them of her fight
now with their help
it's no longer as dark as night

I'm glad she called out for help in the end, lots of people are, as you say, as dark as night inside, people barely notice it until they ask for help, this poem was sad all the way through then lifted the mood at the end to show people can get better if they ask to be helped, there is no shame in it, well done on this one as well

    take care
