Goodbye to you

by Stephanie   Aug 28, 2005

Goodbye to you,
Dear, old friend.
We've come to the end.
Of this road we've traveled
far, and wide.
This road we know
Only as time.
Narrow, the path did grow,
and we've come upon the fork in the road.
So I'll let go of your hand, and tell you goodbye.
I'll wipe one last tear from my eye.
Cherished friends are hard to come by,
and parting is such sweet sorrow,
but for you, my heart will never grow hallow.
I hope you find happiness with who you've become.
I hope I can realize it had to be done.
So farewell, and goodbye.
Life is journey, and new paths you will find.
New roads will be taken, and theres no turning back.
Steer the course, and stay on track,
and if ever you should fall,
I'll be near,
You won't have to look far at all,
and,
I'll pick you up when you are down.
Goodbye dear friend. Farewell.
