Suicide isn't the answer

You said you wanted to kill yourself,
How could this be true?
Yesterday everything was great,
Now you are so blue.

I know you said your wife is upset,
She has me to blame.
If my husband did that to me,
I would feel the same.

I know what I did was wrong,
I can't change the past.
I've tried really hard to move on,
It just seems way too fast.

Its not that easy to forget,
the love that we had.
I remember the day we met,
You made me so glad.

I didn't know what happy was,
Until the day I met you.
Now I feel so lost,
After everything we've been through.

You say that you still love me,
That hits me like a brick.
I wonder if its really true,
Or maybe you think you're slick.

You know that you've hurt us both,
You think you can spare us the pain.
Killing yourself won't do the trick,
That will make us go insane.

Everything will get better,
You'll see!
When that day finally comes,
That you'll be with me!
