Love?

by maureen   Aug 31, 2005

Love is cruel yet forgiving.
it is both the friend you need,
the friend you hate.
it does not wait for you,
but gives you many chances.
love carries and caresses you,
holds you when you cry, N
promises better days.
But love is unkind, love
is a two way street.
A street we drive blind folded.
If trust between us wavers we will crash,
but love is also kind.
It is the airbag the seatbelt of our desires,
trying always keeping us safe.
It is the pillow we grab each night to dream of each other,
yet it is also the pillow drenched in tears from each other.
love is cruel and forgiving...
