Celebrity

by sarah   Sep 2, 2005

I watch her everyday
A celebrity
Pulling the wool
Over everyone's eyes
But we are not the fools
She is
She acts like someone she's not
Making us think that she is OK
When all she's doing
Is hurting herself
But she will never notice
She just buries her pain
Under makeup
Tears
Dried blood
And a knife
Her one true friend
But no one see's her scars
She hides them so well
Like a celebrity
No one ever see's her tears
Because she makes them disappear
Like a celebrity
No one ever see's her pain
Buried underneath a painted smile
Like a celebrity
I watch her everyday
A celebrity
Pulling the wool
Over everyone's eyes
But we are not the fools
I am
Because this act
This persona
This celebrity
That I have become
Will be the end of me
