16 Years (Part 1)

by Chelsea R.   Sep 2, 2005

She loves him more than anything
and she knows he will never care
but she can't take the pain
of knowing he won't be there

he never missed her when she was gone
she'd give him the world if she could
she's never on his mind
he matters more to her than he should

she wishes she didn't miss him
but still she calls him every night
staring up at the stars
and hoping things will be alright

she only wanted him to love her
but she guessed that was to much
it's hard for her to move on
when she's so weak without his touch

why he acts the way he does
she'll never get to know
she's gonna try and stay strong
she's gonna try and let him go

no one knows how much he meant to her
and he'll never understand
all she wanted was his love
all she needed was his hand

she kissed him goodbye one more time
he didn't think it'd be the last
she couldn't get him off her mind that night
so many memories of the past

slitting her wrist she ended her own life
she couldn't stop her blood stained tears
so much time she still had left
after only 16 years
