Snow In July

by Tom   Sep 2, 2005

I've seen flowers bloom in the bed of sand;
I've seen the wicked purified in the promised land.
I'll hear your voice on the other side of this world;
I've seen a lump of coal shaped into a pearl.
I'll build your dreams if this was my last day on earth,
I'll treat this heart like gold if it should lose its worth.
We'll be standing under waterfalls if the oceans ran dry,
You'll find the truth inside my every lie.
We can make this moment last an eternity,
I'll find the cure inside this disease
What if shooting stars seared only in the twilight,
I saw the snow coming down in July.

My sun will shine above the pouring rain,
with you, I'd stand tall in the heart of shame.
I'll make my stand even if I'm scared to death
you're my oxygen if I can't find my next breath.
I've seen prayers redeemed from a curse,
If you finish last, in God's heart you're always first.
I've heard laughter in the midst of tears,
I've seen bravery dispell all the fear.
Some people stand tall even when on their knees.
Some find victory in the shadows of defeat.
Give it a shot even if it hurts to try;
I saw the snow coming down in July.
