Tribute to My Mom

by AloneInaCrowd   Sep 3, 2005

Throughout my life I had a rock
To stand beside and lean;
To give me outward confidence
To make me what I seem.
A friend like you is hard to beat:
You're there, and like no other,
I must admit you are the best
Thank God that you're my mother.
Oftentimes we disagree
On things that aren't high-placed
Yet anyone can see the love
Etched clearly in your face.
I have never said to you
How wonderful you are
You shed such light into my life
You're almost like....a star.
You've given me your best and so
I'll try so hard to be
The perfect daughter anyone could hope for
Simply for your sake.
Admiring you in many ways
I guess I must confess....
I love you more than I can say
And you deserve the best.
If ever you should need a friend
Call and I'll be there;
For I will sit and hold your hand
And give you love and care.
