I cradle my head in my hands.

by Mallory   Sep 3, 2005

Yes, the children and the candy again.
How many licks to the center of the pop?
Get one taste and its thrown away.
For everyone to watch it rot and decay.

In my old clothes, on this hard floor
I cry
No Explanation at all
I cry
I cradle me head in my hands.

Greedy, of course, its me
like the cat caught up in the tree
help me down so i dont fall
I see you there but theres no one at all

Staircase up to Hell
and the steps you fall down to Heaven

In there cells with glowing eyes
and new infants, I hear the cries

In my old clothes, on this hard floor
I cry
No Explanation at all
I cry
I cradle me head in my hands.

Covering your face
so your thoughts cant be read
Sobbing and throbbing, the heart beat in your head

eyes of burning and stinging
shaking knees and heads a beating

In my old clothes, on this hard floor
I cry
No Explanation at all
I cry
I cradle me head in my hands.

I lay...no spoken words
only the night songs of the birds.
