The feeling of love

Burning up
can't calm down
on top of the world
won't come down

can't even breathe
losing so much sleep
i'm falling again
falling in so deep

walking down
this road again
this may hurt me
i can't pretend

i must watch out
for daggers in the heart
someday it could kill me
make me fall apart

but today, right now
i feel so alive
for love's perfections
i forever strive

we'll see what happens
i cannot wait
oh, i love the feeling
of the very first date

    People always asscoiate love with pain...you portray that in this piece...I love how you described how you feel NOW and how you're afraid to feel...it's every lovers fear. Nicely done!!!!! :)

    Great poem! the begining reminded me of being bipolar... just me i guess lol. you really pulled off the excitement, and nervousness that comes with the first date! awesome!
