Finding My Wings

Fly little bird
because you can
Soar high above the trees
feel the breeze

Sing me stories
from way up high
How does it feel
to touch the sky?

No sense of reality
pain, or grief
Living your life
on the tip of a leaf

When I can learn
to leave things behind
Move on from my past
hit play, not rewind

Then I can join
when the other birds fly
I'll stop dwelling on things
and just... Stretch my wings
