What's This I See?

by Liquid Dreams   Sep 5, 2005

~*~ I found this poem that I wrote in 6th grade.

What's this I see?
It's not a bee
It flies oh so gracefully
It shimmers as it flies in the day
In a special little buggy way
It touches my skin; it doesnâ??t sting
What a great joy that brings!
What's this I spy?
It's not a fly
For its touch is not so pesky
And its mind is not so testy
What a joy it brings not to be bothered!
What can it be?
But then a message flashes through my mind
A ladybug! It said so kind
Red as blood with stars of black
Its little home is a plant shack
It comes out almost everyday
Just to live and play in its buggy way
It's God's way of planning a day
For the ladybug.
