I know a girl

by hidden under lies   Sep 7, 2005

I know a girl, she sits in the cold stone floor in her bedroom she has not moved at least not since last June, you see she lost her love, her only one, he ran away left her for someone else so here she sits on the nice cold floor. her eyeliner still smeared her hair in knots turned into something like dreadlocks. she does not speak or laugh or smile. at night you can hear her mournful cry and at midnight you can hear the rain pour down, those are her tears that last forever more, the thunder is when her fists strike her cold stone floor. no one can save her soul shes too lost this time. try to find this girl in you and you may find this girl is a part of you me and ever living human being.

This is an excellent poem. Very sad, very poetic, very powerful. Thanks for sharing it. Read some of mine one day.
