Among the flames

by Chelly   Sep 10, 2005

I watch the fire burn your pictures, as my pain slips across the flames. I watch the pictures of what we had drift away. Now some other girl takes my place, as my heart is ripped away. I watch the pictures wither into pieces as my heart did when it was broken that day. My pain releases among these flames. The smell of smoke lifts through the air, as I watch the pictures of my past disappear. I say goodbye to the one I loved and still love, till I watched the pictures of us burn away. Feeling better as I walk today. Leaving the withered pictures to rot, in the bucket that is found. The pictures have gone away while, this pain has slipped away among the flames. Since I stand tall and say I have moved on today, as I search for that one guy that will make my heart stay.
