Normal Strangers (part 1)

by Michael   Sep 10, 2005

Strangers;
people that are unknown to you.
You have never seen them,
talked
or even know about them.

These people inhabit the Earth,
yet all strangers are not alike.
They all act, say, look and even think differently than others.

Strangers do come in many forms,
some are unique,
some are even rare.

Yet you are a stranger yourself.
All these people you gazed upon are shrouded,
and are never recognized to most people.
These strangers,
even you,
all wear a mask.

When people look at you,
they will not know you.
For the mask is covering yourself,
your abilities,
your uniqueness
even your emotions.

But like all masks,
they can be removed.
It is one thing to notice a stranger,
its another to talk and even know a little about them.
For when that has happened,
the mask is lifted from their face,
yet others do not know that.

However,
masks like these have caused trouble.
When people look at these masks,
they will think perhaps the opposite of you,
making it seem that the mask can tell all.

This causes others to think they are overall better,
yet other are afraid of what you do,
and how this is not normal.

But people,
are able to see through them,
and to see what is needed for this person.

In order to do this,
they must know much in order to accomplish.
Few have accomplished,
but there is only one person I know who has done this.
She isnâ??t tall,
she isnâ??t brave,
she isnâ??t even in her teen years,
sheâ??s a little girl,
and this is her story.

A girl in the middle of a town square,
being so alone,
is not normal.
That is unless you are lost.

She is crouching,
hiding her face,
to let the glares of people not see her fright.

Her father beats her,
her mother is greedy,
and when she is separated from her parents,
she has no one to run to,
for she is filled with fright,
that the people will laugh and throw her down.

However,
like an angel helping a man to go to heaven,
a man flew down to her and offered to help.

She has not seen him,
because he has a mask on.

Would she except his help,
that would lead her back to her parents
or would he betray her,
and leave her standing.
But her path only lead to one way,
and she choose it.
Her path to acknowledgment had just started with a manâ??s sense of direction.

Yet in the town,
she came across mysterious paintings,
that sneered,
expressed,
violence,
death,
evil
and greed.

She back up from them,
yet the man put her forward,
telling her that things arenâ??t what they seemed.

Then like a flip book,
the pictures came to life.
The one that sneered at her
was actually smiling.
When murder was in place,
the knife was actually a bouquet of flowers,
being given to his future wife.

The pictures now were all joyful,
but she judged them by the masks they wore.
Like the people who looked down upon others,
they donâ??t see things as they do themselves.

I totally agree with you, humans are weird, you see we love each other here when we don't even know each other, but if we meet on the streets, we will like judge you immediately when seeing your attitude, i have friends that to most they seem like a bad boy but when you get to know them you will know they are the best friend you can ever have.
