Among Us

by Arkon   Sep 11, 2005

You figured me out like I knew you would
Destroyed me like I knew you could
And it's you who should be next to me
But it's the soul you set free

Take my word, you are not alone
Whether you're on fire or on the phone
Sometimes it's hard to tell what's real
And I know that you're not

I'm sick of trying this hard
I know that it is me who became scarred
Nothings sees through me
And nothing seems to be, free

Concentrate your minds eye
Into the spiraling darkness or the shattered skies
Like a fast solo high on the first string
Or a riff so loud it stings

I know you don't belive
But you must see
You can't leave
As fast as you run you won't flee

Every day you think you're just making the rounds
But you're just digging yourself a grave underground
And I know you won't belive it
So stand still behind and turn away as I cleave it

I could be the blossom in the wind
Or the sound of your death
You could be on the ground pinned
And once more I would have sinned

But I could be something, in your room
And you won't know I loom
I could simply be a shard glass you broke last night
But chances are I'm where I was where you left me when you turned out the lights

Things can't be ok
When you got a debt to the Devil and it isn't paid
Forget I am here, lose your belief of me
And I'll stay until you go, because...

It's not alright, and that I know
As long as you make me an ally not a foe
I'll overcast you in your sleep
You'll never know I was here
