You say I am something pretty,
Something special in your eyes.

So I can tell you that it's all lies.

What's so interesting about me?
Since you say something's there.
Where is this wonderful beauty,
That makes all my essence blare?

I don't see the things you see,
My mind comprehends the lies.
It is my instinct, this negativity,
Agree, you say? I won't comply.

You say I'm something so fancy,
Something unique in many ways.
I look in a mirror; stare down me,
And I see nothing you see today.

I see nothing amazing or lovely,
Nothing that you have said, at all.
Staring into my hazel eyes to see,
But I see nothing but a stone wall.

I am not sure what it is, exactly,
That you are talking about now.
You're clearly not talking of me,
I will never be like that, anyhow.

You say I'm something so dearly,
Something that is clearly so rare.
But I see the same girl beside me,
And same as every girl out there.

Stop lying to save my heart, baby,
I know that I look just like an error.
There's no need to say love to me,
You can't save me from the terror.

I already know the truth.
